UI GreenMetric is a global sustainability benchmarking initiative developed by Universitas Indonesia. The initiative evaluates how institutions implement sustainability practices in their operations, governance, and development.

UI GreenMetric currently operates three assessment programs:

• Sustainable University Rankings — for universities and higher education institutions
• Sustainable City Rankings — for cities and local governments
• Sustainable Corporate Rankings — for companies and corporate organizations

Each program uses a structured indicator framework to measure sustainability performance and enable global comparison among participating institutions.

Participation is open to institutions that implement sustainability initiatives, including:

• universities and higher education institutions
• cities and local governments
• corporate organizations

Each participant submits sustainability data according to the applicable ranking framework.

Participation in all UI GreenMetric rankings is free of charge. Institutions can register and submit their data without paying a mandatory participation fee. Optional collaboration or service programs may be offered separately, but these programs are voluntary and do not affect ranking eligibility.

Institutions can register through the official UI GreenMetric website at uigreenmetric.com/register, or send an email to support@uigreenmetric.com.

After registration is verified by the UI GreenMetric team, the institution will receive login credentials to access the questionnaire system.

Registered participants submit their sustainability data through the questionnaire platform on the UI GreenMetric website at uigreenmetric.com/questionnaire. Participants log in using their institutional username and password and complete the questionnaire along with supporting evidence.

Data should represent a continuous 12-month reporting period from the institution's most recent operational year. The selected timeframe must be applied consistently across all indicators submitted in the questionnaire.

After submission, the UI GreenMetric team conducts a validation process that includes:

• verification of submitted data
• review of supporting evidence
• consistency checks

Final ranking results are published after the evaluation process is completed.
