UI GreenMetric Participated as Keynote Speaker at the LLDIKTI Wilayah VII Leadership Work Meeting
22 June 2026 – UI GreenMetric participated in the Leadership Work Meeting of Higher Education Institutions in LLDIKTI Wilayah VII, held at Hotel Morazen, Surabaya, East Java. The event brought together leaders of higher education institutions across the region to discuss strategic priorities to improve the quality, governance, and performance of Indonesian universities in support of national higher education development.
UI GreenMetric's participation reflected its continued commitment to supporting higher education institutions in strengthening institutional governance and sustainability through internationally recognized benchmarking frameworks. The event also served as a platform for collaboration among government representatives, university leaders, and higher education stakeholders to exchange perspectives on the future direction of Indonesia's higher education sector.
UI GreenMetric was represented by Prof. Dr. Vishnu Juwono, S.E., M.I.A., Ph.D., Chairperson of UI GreenMetric, who was a keynote speaker at the event. He was invited by LLDIKTI Wilayah VII and delivered a presentation on the implementation of sustainability in higher education through the UI GreenMetric Sustainable University Rankings framework. The session highlighted how sustainability can be integrated into the academic, research, community engagement, governance, and campus operations of higher educational institutions. The session also discussed the relevance of sustainability initiatives to the broader objectives of the Key Performance Indicators (Indikator Kinerja Utama/IKU), encouraging higher education institutions to embed sustainability into their long-term strategies and institutional development.
The work meeting commenced with a registration session, followed by an official opening ceremony featuring welcoming remarks and presentations from the organizing committee and the Head of LLDIKTI Wilayah VII. The program then continued with a panel discussion involving senior officials from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, who addressed key topics including the implementation of Higher Education Key Performance Indicators (IKU), research grants and downstream innovation, institutional development, and the management of the Indonesia Smart College Card (KIP Kuliah).
Throughout the discussion sessions, participants explored strategies to strengthen institutional governance, improve academic quality, and encourage innovation within higher education institutions. The exchange of ideas among policymakers and university leaders reinforced the importance of collaboration in achieving a more competitive, accountable, and future-ready higher education ecosystem.
The event concluded with the presentation of the Anugerah Kampus Unggul (AKU) LLDIKTI VII, recognizing outstanding achievements among higher education institutions in the region. Through its participation in the Leadership Work Meeting, UI GreenMetric reaffirmed its commitment to supporting universities in advancing institutional excellence, strengthening sustainability practices, and promoting evidence-based approaches to higher education development in Indonesia.
