UI GreenMetric Welcomes UIN Sunan Kudus Research Delegation to Examine Sustainable Institutional Transformation
DEPOK, 25 June 2026 — UI GreenMetric welcomed a research delegation from Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Kudus to the UI GreenMetric Meeting Room at the Science Techno Park Building, Universitas Indonesia. The academic visit served as an in-depth research initiative examining how structured sustainability frameworks drive institutional and organizational transformation within higher education.
The UIN Sunan Kudus research team was represented by Muhammad Qoes Atieq, MBA (Lecturer and Lead Researcher) and Shofwatun Nada, M.Pd. (Academic Quality Assurance Representative). They were warmly received by the UI GreenMetric core team, including Dr. Vishnu Juwono, S.E., M.I.A., (Chairperson), Dr. Rahmi, S.Hum., M.Sc. (Manager of Operations, Data, and Service Development), Sabrina Hikmah Ramadianti, S.Si. (Manager of Program, Partnerships & Communications), and Siti Anisah, S.Si., M.A.B. (Data Analyst).
During the session, the delegation conducted intensive interviews with the UI GreenMetric team to dissect the operational mechanics of the Sustainable University Rankings. The strategic discussion focused on the underlying rationale behind the ranking methodology, data verification protocols, and how metrics actively influence corporate culture, Green Human Resource Management (Green HRM), Islamic Work Ethics, and Organizational Citizenship Behaviour for the Environment (OCBE) within participating campuses.
For Islamic Higher Education Institutions (Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam/PTKI), this organizational shift seamlessly bridges global ecological survival with core spiritual frameworks. The dialogue emphasized how integrating data-driven sustainability indicators with the concept of ecotheology elevates campus management from mere administrative compliance to a shared moral obligation, fusing faith, knowledge, and climate action to cultivate environmentally responsible leadership.
Since its inception by Universitas Indonesia in 2010, UI GreenMetric has expanded into a premier global sustainability network encompassing 1,745 universities from 105 countries. Through continuous research collaborations, institutional consultations, and capacity-building programs, the platform empowers domestic and international universities to transform dense metrics into concrete, measurable environmental stewardship.
UI GreenMetric extends its sincere appreciation to the UIN Sunan Kudus research delegation for this productive academic exchange. By supporting rigorous independent studies on organizational behavior and green frameworks, UI GreenMetric reaffirms its commitment to advancing the transition of Indonesian higher education toward a resilient and sustainable future.
