UI GreenMetric Pursues Further International Collaboration by Conducting an Official Visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye

On March 3, 2026, UI GreenMetric reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of sustainable development worldwide. This demonstrates that UI GreenMetric is capable and ready to spread its concept and ideas of sustainable development beyond Indonesia. UI GreenMetric aims to make its sustainable university ranking a reputable global assessment system. This marks an important step toward building a sustainable future.

To realize this goal, UI GreenMetric recognizes the importance of international and even multinational collaboration, ensuring that the methods and indicators of its Sustainable University Rankings remain globally relevant. The Regional Information Sessions held in late February showed that almost 1.500 participants representing universities worldwide have both the capability and willingness to expand sustainability efforts within their institutions and set an example for their wider communities. The sessions also demonstrated that the UI GreenMetric Sustainable University Rankings is a reliable and quantifiable system for measuring sustainability performance.

Building on the momentum of these previous events, UI GreenMetric conducted an official visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye. At the meeting, UI GreenMetric was represented by Dr. Vishnu Juwono, S.E., M.I.A., Chairperson; and Dr Abellia Anggi Wardani, S.Hum., M.A., Vice Chairperson. They were joined by Sabrina Hikmah Ramadianti, S.Si., Program, Partnership, and Communications Manager; Rayhana S.Gz., Partnership and Program Coordinator; and Muhamad Ferdy Firmansyah, S.E., M.Sc., Program Partnership Officer. They met Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selman Özdan, Education Counsellor; and Brian Mohamad, Secretary.

The meeting served as a milestone in UI GreenMetric’s efforts to expand its reach at the international level. Through continued constructive dialogue and further collaboration, both parties hoped that this visit would develop into a fruitful relationship in the future. This visit underscores a shared vision in which academic excellence is inseparable from ecological responsibility. As UI GreenMetric continues to engage with diplomatic missions, it reinforces the role of universities not only as centers of learning but also as primary drivers of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on a global scale.
